Kiosk Mode Features

Overview: To accommodate a higher volume of requests, retailers can explore the option of centralizing requests through Inventory Specialists. With Kiosk Mode, everyone in your store can be a Runner for quick in-store pick-ups.

Instead of sending requests to Runners, Associates send their requests to Inventory Specialists. Inventory Specialists bring requested items out to staging areas categorized by drop-off locations.

Kiosk Mode then acts as the gateway for the staging areas. Runners pick up requested items from staging areas that need to be taken to Associates & Shoppers, and mark the item as delivered through the Kiosk.

Inventory specialist workflow

In Kiosk Mode, Inventory Specialists perform the same duties as a Runner by Accepting a request, and then marking it as Found or Unavailable.

When the item is found, the Inventory Specialist brings the item out to a staging area and marks the item as Found.

The item then moves from a Pick state to a Run state.

Runners interact with Kiosk Mode by switching between a Pick view to see what is In-Progress, and a Run view to confirm when they are taking the staged item to the Requester & the Shopper.

If the item is unavailable, the Inventory Specialist marks the item as Unavailable.

The Inventory Specialist then provides a reason code for item unavailability.

Reason codes include:

  • Missing
  • Damaged
  • Other (where the Runner can enter a specific reason, such as “item is already checked out”)

The reason code provided can be reported to inventory managers for further follow-up.

The request is then automatically sent to the Completed state with a reason tag on why it was unavailable.
